Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Richmond (located in Midlothian) is hiring a PRN Medication Aide (Med Tech)

Position Overview

The Medicine Aide/Technician assists with prescribed medications and treatments, as defined by state regulations, to residents and maintains related work records under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor. They also act as a Resident Caregiver, assisting residents with daily activities such as personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This role requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to frequent interactions with residents and families to ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village). Must successfully complete Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training.
• Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, ability to speak English, ability to read thermometers, charts, testing equipment, and operate household appliances.
• Experience: Knowledge and experience working with the elderly required; previous experience with dementia preferred.
• Certifications: Must be certified as required by state regulations.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; push and pull objects; lift and carry up to 20 pounds (Arden Courts/Linden Village) and 50 pounds (Arden Courts); full use of hands, arms, and legs for various activities.
