Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Virginia Beach is hiring a part-time Med Tech (must hold VA Med Tech license) with a $1,250 Sign-on bonus.
The Medicine Aide/Technician assists with prescribed medications and treatments, as defined by state regulations, to residents and maintains related work records under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor. The role also includes acting as a Resident Caregiver, assisting residents with daily activities such as personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. The position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to frequent interactions with residents and families to ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village); Must successfully complete Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training; qualities such as empathy, resourcefulness, high self-esteem, flexibility, responsiveness, attention to detail, compassion, and friendliness; ability to work as part of a team; ability to read thermometers, charts, testing equipment, and operate household appliances (Arden Courts/Linden Village); good physical and mental health (Arden Courts/Linden Village).
Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, ability to speak English.
Experience: Knowledge and experience working with elderly residents required; previous experience with dementia preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Must be certified as required by state regulations; certification details depend on specific regulations.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; push and pull objects; lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds unassisted; full use of hands, arms, and legs for various activities such as washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning.
