A leading healthcare organization is seeking a full-time Med Tech in Virginia Beach. The role involves assisting with medications and daily activities for residents, requiring a VA Med Tech license. Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Virginia Beach is hiring a full-time Med Tech (must hold VA Med Tech license) with a $2,500 Sign-on bonus.
The Medicine Aide/Technician assists with prescribed medications and treatments, as defined by state regulations, to residents and maintains related work records under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor. The role also includes acting as a Resident Caregiver, assisting residents with daily activities such as personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. The position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to constant interactions with residents and families to ensure their satisfaction.

Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; must complete Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training; empathetic, resourceful, high self-esteem, flexible, responsive, attentive to detail, compassionate, and friendly; able to work as part of a team. Skills include basic reading and writing, ability to speak English, and operation of thermometers, testing equipment, clothes washers, dryers, and kitchen appliances. Experience working with the elderly is required; experience with dementia preferred. Must be certified as per state regulations.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; push, pull, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds frequently; up to 50 pounds unassisted; full use of hands, arms, and legs for activities like washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning.
