Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Richmond (located in Midlothian) is hiring a full-time Med Tech (must be VA Med Tech certified) with a $5,000 Sign-on bonus.

The Medicine Aide/Technician assists with prescribed medications and treatments, as defined by state regulations, to residents and maintains related work records under the supervision of the Nurse Supervisor. The Medicine Aide/Technician also acts as a Resident Caregiver, assisting residents in daily activities such as personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This role requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to constant interactions with residents and families to ensure satisfaction.

Job Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma (Springhouse); High School diploma or equivalent (Arden Courts/Linden Village). Must successfully complete the required Springhouse’s/Arden Courts’ training.
  • Skills: Basic reading and writing skills, ability to speak English, and ability to read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment. Ability to operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances (Arden Courts/Linden Village).
  • Experience: Knowledge and experience working with the elderly required; previous experience working with dementia preferred.
  • Certification: Must be certified, as required, by state regulations.
Physical Demands

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods; push and pull objects; lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently; up to 50 pounds unassisted (Arden Courts/Linden Village); full use of hands, arms, and legs for activities such as washing, bathing, dressing, writing, and cleaning.
