Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.50, depending on experience

Shift Type: Full-time & PRN positions available, 7:00AM - 7:00PM shifts, days vary, weekend availability

Summary

As a Med Tech, you will deliver excellent hands-on care, administer medications timely, observe and report resident status, and ensure their health, comfort, and safety in accordance with company procedures. You will also perform various resident-focused tasks as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Promote SRIM's core value of the Golden Rule, treating everyone with respect.
  2. Supervise self-administration of medication for residents.
  3. Assist with ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, and laundry, encouraging resident independence.
  4. Interact with residents showing empathy, kindness, and respect.
  5. Observe and report changes in residents' health and emotional well-being.
  6. Serve and assist residents during meals.
  7. Participate in leisure activities as scheduled.
  8. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
  9. Perform housekeeping duties following schedules.
  10. Support a dignified and caring atmosphere.
  11. Respond promptly to resident requests and inquiries.
  12. Communicate effectively with residents.
  13. Ensure residents sign out when leaving.
  14. Maintain a safe environment, practicing good body mechanics.
  15. Report safety hazards immediately.
  16. Assist colleagues as needed.
  17. Follow policies in emergencies.
  18. Remain at the community during emergencies as required.
  19. Work as a team with staff and management.
  20. Maintain a positive attitude and respectfulness.
  21. Adhere to attendance policies.
  22. Participate in trainings and meetings.
  23. Dress appropriately per policy.
  24. Refer resident care inquiries to supervisors.
  25. Comply with HIPAA regulations.
  26. Assist with training and mentoring new employees.
  27. Proactively seek additional work and solutions.
  28. Take on special projects and duties outside regular tasks.
  29. Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
  30. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Language Ability: Read/write/interpret documents, communicate effectively.

Math Ability: Basic arithmetic skills.

Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to instructions and problems.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of word processing and electronic records.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience or equivalent.

Certificates and Licenses: Med-Tech certification required.

Physical Demands

Must regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available.

Work Environment

Exposure to blood-borne pathogens; work environment characteristics as described; accommodations available.
