Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Colorado is seeking a Medication Technician who will supervise and assist in administering medications to residents, following nursing standards, policies, and procedures. The role also provides direct personal care and encourages residents to participate in activities.

As part of a team, you will collaborate with housekeepers and maintenance staff while supporting Oakmont’s mission, values, and commitment to outstanding service.

Qualifications

• One year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) preferred.
• Completion of training/certification may be required by state regulation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal skills to interact with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests required.
• Vaccination and PPE per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
