The Country Home Memory Care in Morris Plains, NJ is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for a full-time day shift. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and document in the EHR in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities include medication storage, resident monitoring, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure safe, timely care. A High School diploma and Medication Technician certification are required; 1 year of healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: Certification as a Medication Technician or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a healthcare or caregiving setting preferred, but not required. Experience in medication administration is a plus.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administering medications.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, compassionate and patient-focused.
• Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Skills: Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
• Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications following physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations.
• Medication Storage and Handling: Safely store, handle, and dispose of medications; maintain accurate inventory records.
• Resident Monitoring: Observe residents for changes and report to supervising staff.
• Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in audits.
• Assisting with Resident Care: Help with ADLs and transfers as needed.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with nursing staff to coordinate care.
