We are currently seeking an experienced:

MEDICATION TECHNICIAN (CNA)

Part Time, Nights

Job Description:

• Administers medication as directed according to the Medication Administration policies and procedures manual, excluding injections, medications given by g-tube, j-tube, nasogastric tubes, and IV medications.
• Performs duties within the scope of professional certification.
• Engages in continuing education through workshops, in-service classes, and literature reading.
• Performs procedures such as vital signs, enemas, and suppositories.
• Completes documentation as required by facility policies.
• Reports medication errors immediately.
• Counts controlled substances, gives/takes reports, and follows proper sign-in and sign-off procedures during shift changes.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, friends, and visitors.

Job Requirements:

• Registered on the NAI registry with no allegations of abuse or neglect.
• Successfully completed the state-approved training program, including competency evaluation and facility orientation.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly or at least 10 times per shift.
