Job summary

Columbia Cottage is seeking a Medication Technician / Caregiver to provide compassionate care to residents at our Linglestown, PA location. Starting pay is $18.00/hour, with benefits and shift differentials available.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects, taking vital signs, and supporting daily living activities in a warm, home‑like setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medication Technician certification.
• Diabetes training.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare.

• Prepare and administer medications according to physician orders.
• Assist residents with taking medications safely and effectively.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and side effects.
• Document all medication administration in MAR accurately.
• Obtain vital signs, blood glucose, and other ordered measurements.
• Provide encouragement, education, and emotional support to residents.
• Deliver hands-on care and assist with daily living activities.

Available Shifts

• Day 6:30 AM- 3:00 PM
• Evening 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM

All positions include every other weekend and holiday requirement unless otherwise noted
