Job summary

Lillington Health and Rehabilitation Center in North Carolina is seeking a qualified Medication Technician to join our dedicated nursing team. You will administer medications, follow care plans, and work closely with nurses to support residents' independence and comfort.

This role emphasizes compassionate, hands-on care and accurate documentation, with daily opportunities to engage residents in activities and help maintain a safe, clean living environment.

Qualifications

• Current Medication Technician Certificate is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to residents according to each resident’s plan of care.
• Administer medications as prescribed and in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document medication administration accurately and timely in resident’s medical record.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ALDs) including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and positioning them safely.
• Monitor residents’ health status and vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse.
• Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote overall well-being.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized living environment for residents.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.
