Responsibilities
- Administer and accurately record administrations of medications as prescribed by resident physicians in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines.
- Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs.
- Manage medication supplies and provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered.
- Provide care for the personal needs, safety and comfort of residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene and mobility.
- Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, phone use, laundry, transportation and mail delivery.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition and status.
- Conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents.
- Assist in dining services, including escorting residents to the dining room, serving food and cleaning up.
Qualifications
- Six months of work experience passing medications in a retirement community setting is preferred.
- CMA certification is a plus, but not required.
- Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- The ideal candidate is caring, organized and able to multi‑task.
