Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living in San Juan Capistrano seeks a Medication Technician to prepare and distribute medications to residents and coordinate with pharmacies and physicians. You will maintain accurate medication records and ensure a safe environment while supporting a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of experience in a RCFE setting or similar, and may require LVN licensure. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, with MS Office proficiency expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old; high school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must pass a criminal background check and health screenings including TB tests; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and other departments.

Pay Range: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour (depends on experience)

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
