Job summary

Ivy Park at San Tomas, managed by Oakmont Management Group, is seeking a Medication Technician for all shifts in San Jose, CA. The role offers a $19.50–$21.50/hour pay range and opportunities to participate in a hiring event at Ivy Park.

Responsibilities include distributing medications, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, and maintaining accurate records. We welcome candidates with RCFE medication experience, strong customer service, and a dedication to elder care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience assisting with medication in RCFE is preferred.
• State-required training/certification may be needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Written and verbal communication with staff, supervisors, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass background and health screening tests (TB, etc.).
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
