Job summary

Ivy Living is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to support residents in a senior living community in California. You will supervise and assist with medication administration, provide direct personal care, and promote resident participation in activities while collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance to uphold care standards.

The role requires at least 18 years old, HS diploma or equivalent, and may require state training/certification.

Qualifications

• Prefer one (1) year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
• Based on state regulation, completion of training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For health and safety, vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.

FULLTIME - Work either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday

NOC Shift 10:00p.m. - 6:30a.m.

Pay Range: $17.00 - 19.00 with FULL BENEFITS, including Vision, Dental, Health and 401k

The Medication Technician is responsible for supervising and assisting in the administration of medications to residents as ordered and in accordance with established nursing standards, policies, procedures, and practices of the company. In addition, the Medication Technician will provide direct personal care, encourage residents to participate in activities, and work with housekeepers and maintenance staff in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.
