Job summary

Milestone Retirement is seeking a Medication Technician to oversee medication management and daily activities for residents in a caring, team-driven environment.

You will supervise care partner staff, ensure care plans are followed, and maintain communication with medical professionals and families to provide safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer one year of caregiving experience.
• Prefer at least six months of supervisory experience in a health-related field.
• Ability to read physician orders and accurately follow MAR.
• Understanding of medical terminology and basic computer skills (Word/Excel) preferred.
• Required state certifications for medication administration.
• Must meet all health requirements, including TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in meal service, including serving and clearing the dining room.

About The Role

We’re seeking a Medication Technician to oversee medication management and daily ADLs for residents. In this role, you’ll supervise care partner staff, ensure resident care plans are followed, and maintain communication with medical professionals and families to provide consistent, high-quality care.

What You’ll Do

• Administer medications following physician orders and Medication Administration Records (MAR)
• Verify daily documentation and track completion of resident care tasks
• Communicate with the team regarding resident needs and ensure consistent, high-quality service
• Participate in meal service, including serving, clearing, and cleaning the dining room
• Supervise staff during shifts and support their development
• Maintain all required certifications, in-service training, and ongoing education
• Follow all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines
• Ensure safe work practices and support team members in maintaining safety standards
• Assist with workplace injury investigations and return-to-work processes as needed
• Foster teamwork, take initiative, and positively impact coworkers, residents, and visitors
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For
