Sagora Senior Living is hiring a Med Tech at The Viera, 3010 Airline Rd, Corpus Christi, TX. Part-time position requiring compassion, reliability, and attention to residents’ dignity. Training and delegation provided; CMA certification is optional.

Responsibilities include med administration, vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and supporting dining and housekeeping tasks while ensuring safety and quality care for residents.

Qualifications

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community preferred.
• CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer and record medications as prescribed under nurse supervision.
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Care for residents' safety, dignity, and comfort.
• Assist in dining and daily tasks as needed.
• Maintain medication supply and documentation.

What does a Med Tech at Sagora do?

• Administer and accurately record administration of medications as prescribed by a resident's physician(s) in accordance with company policy and applicable state and federal guidelines under supervision of a nurse
• Obtain, record, and report resident vital signs
• Manage supply of medications
• Provide accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered
• Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
• Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition and statusConduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents
• Assist in dining including escorting residents to dining room, serving, and clean up

What do you need to be a Med Tech?

• Six months of work experience passing meds in a retirement community setting is preferred
• CMA certification is a plus, but not required
• Candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English
• The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task
