Position Details

Job Title: Medication Aide

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, PRN

Reports to: Assisted Living Manager or Memory Care Manager

FLSA: Non-exempt

Responsibilities
  • Support the organization’s mission, values, and goals.
  • Complete annual state-mandated continuing education.
  • Promote teamwork and professionalism.
  • Maintain a positive image and effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
  • Document care services accurately and timely.
  • Participate in medication management tasks, including narcotic counts, medication administration, reordering, and documentation.
  • Maintain medication room cleanliness and ensure proper medication order processing.
  • Record residents’ vital signs and monitor responses to medications.
  • Assist in scheduling doctor’s appointments and responding to call lights promptly.
  • Participate in training sessions and community wellness programs.
  • Follow fire evacuation and disaster protocols, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support resident care and community success.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Medication Administration certification as per state requirements.
  • Experience as a Caregiver or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • CPR certification.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
