Job summary

Palmilla Senior Living, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a licensed Medication Aide to join our nursing team in Albuquerque, NM. You will administer prescribed medications and assist with daily activities, ensuring accuracy and resident safety.

You may supervise CNAs as needed and contribute to high-quality resident care in a memory care and assisted living setting. This role emphasizes patient comfort and adherence to professional standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide.
• Experience providing care in assisted living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per standards.
• Supervise CNAs as directed to support resident care.
• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, bathing, and grooming.
• Monitor vital signs and weight, document intake/output, and respond to changes in resident condition.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in the state as a Medication Aide and maintain current, active, and unencumbered licensure.
