We are currently seeking a Full-time Medication Room Assistant to join our team at Pontiac CC in Pontiac, Illinois. Under supervision, the Medication Room Assistant organizes medication storage and distribution areas and assists in obtaining medications from an off-site pharmacy as well as returning unused medications.

Shift: Mon-Fri 8a-4p. Pay rate: $22.77/hr.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year correctional health care or hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Well organized, communicates effectively, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Organize medication storage and distribution areas.
• Assist in procurement of ordered medications from an off-site pharmacy.
• Assist in the return of unused medications.

Under the direct supervision of the designated manager and clinical supervision from the Director of Nursing, Medical Director and/or IDOC personnel as appropriate, theMedication Room Assistant (MRA) is responsible for organizing the medication storage and distribution areas and assists in the procurement of ordered medications from an off-site pharmacy as well as assisting in the return of unused medications.
