Great Lakes Management in Colorado is seeking a Medication Assistant to administer medications to residents and document administration in a safe, organized manner. You will prepare medications, ensure accuracy, maintain confidentiality, and participate in monthly trainings. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.
This full-time role requires six months of long-term care experience and registration as a trained medication assistant is preferred.
This position is responsible for the administration of medication in a safe organized manner. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administration of medications and documentation of medication administration. The medication assistant completes required training, communicates with the case manager (nurse) and becomes knowledgeable in the state requirements for medication assistants.
Must be able to frequently perform tasks such as, but not limited to, those listed below: In an 8 hour workday, employee may stand / walk: Employee will lift/carry: Hours at one time: 0-1 (Max.lbs.): Total hours / day: 1-6 Frequently: 40 lbs. Occasionally: 70 lbs. The work schedule and hours may vary from week to week. The RA will be required to work weekends and holidays and may be required to work beyond the normal schedule.
