Job summary

Lakeview Health Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated professional for the SRO Ithaca, NY program.

The role involves supervising the self-administration of medications, counseling clients with mental health and substance use concerns, and ensuring adherence to regulatory policies in a residential setting. Under supervision, you will train new staff, perform regular audits of medication records, coordinate with providers, and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with five (5) years of relevant experience or an associate’s degree with three (3) years of experience.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License as driving is an essential function.
• Health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, coordinating, and monitoring functions related to self-administration of medications.
• Counsel, support, and aid individuals with Mental Illnesses and Substance Use concerns in skills and daily living activities.
• Conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly audits on medication and documentation; address findings.
• Monitor systems around staff oversight of medications.
• Document changes in medications and restart orders.
• Provide new hire training around oversight of self-administration of medications.
• Communicate with providers around medication orders and changes.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation around medication orders, changes and errors.
• Maintain complete documentation according to organizational policies.
• Participate in required meetings and trainings.
• Adhere to OMH and other regulatory policies.
• Provide additional responsibilities as assigned.
