Job summary

Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is hiring a Medication Assistant to administer routine medications to residents under RN supervision. You will monitor changes in youth conditions, record vital signs, and assist with accurate weight measurements.

You must complete the YBGR Medication Aide Course within 30 days, pass background checks, be 21+, and maintain reliable attendance. Will participate in monthly supervision and PQI initiatives.

Responsibilities

Position Summary: Under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Medication Assistant will assist with self-administration of routine medications to residents. The Medication Assistant will also monitor residents for change in condition of the resident’s physical or mental condition and report to the nurse. The Medication Assistant will be required to take vital signs and weights of the residents. Other duties as assigned within in the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide.There are two opportunities for schedules in this position:Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:00pmSaturday and Sunday 6:30am to 10:0pmStarting Salary Range: $19.21 - $21.62 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:Provide routine medications to youth as prescribed in accordance with applicable YBGR policies and procedures, laws, statues, license and /or certification.Monitor youth’s physical or mental condition and report to the nurse.Take vital signs, weights, heights on youth.Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes.
