Job summary

Koelsch Communities is seeking a Med Tech to join our Resident Services Department at The Gardens at Laguna Springs memory care in Elk Grove, CA. This full-time role requires administering oral and external medications under a licensed nurse's supervision and delivering high-quality, individualized assistance to residents.

You will provide medication administration, observe resident condition changes, assist with ADLs, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state-certified medication aide/tech course.
• CPR/First-Aid certification as needed in accordance with company policy and state rules.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication administration and treatment per provider orders.
• Supervise residents who self-administer medication following guidelines.
• Maintain resident records regarding medication distribution and incidents; observe changes and report promptly to LN on duty.
• Assist residents with ADL tasks including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, meals, housekeeping and laundry.
• Observe resident rights and relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
