Job summary

Autumn Care of Waynesville in Waynesville, NC is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to administer medications as ordered under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a skilled nursing facility.

You will also serve as a CNA, provide emotional support, follow care plans, and participate in health and safety policies. This full-time position offers flexible pay options, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• Be listed in good standing on the registry as a medication aide in the state in which you work.
• Passed the QMA competency evaluation program consisting of a written test, if your state requires.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software.
• Current registry of certification to work as a Nursing Assistant in good standing within the applicable laws of the state in which you work.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as ordered by the attending Physician under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Provide CNA-level care and emotional and social support to residents.
• Follow resident care plans and health and sanitation policies in a SNF setting.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisory personnel and ensure compliance with Nursing Policies.
