Job description

Compensation and Schedule

Compensation: from $16.50 - $18.50/Hour (based on experience) plus additional shift differential.

Schedule: Part-Time Evening (2pm-10pm), rotating weekends and holidays. PRN available.

Position Overview

The Medication Aide & Caregiver is responsible for supporting household and resident care. Duties include maintaining a clean and safe environment, assisting with personal laundry, and providing medical and physical care to meet residents' daily needs, enabling them to function at their highest level.

Qualifications
  • 18 years or older unless active on the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide registry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required unless active on the Nurse Aide registry.
  • Successful completion of medication administration training required.
  • Previous experience with older adults preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary Caregiver

Respect residents' rooms as homes, support self-care, assist with activities of daily living, respond promptly to requests, observe and report changes, and document services. Support resident independence and well-being.

Medication Administration

Prepare, administer, and document medications safely and accurately. Observe residents for reactions or changes, report to licensed staff, and perform basic care procedures as needed.

Life Enhancement

Meet psychosocial needs through activities, support social engagement, organize and lead activities, and assist with transportation and outings.

Meals and Housekeeping

Assist with mealtimes, maintain household cleanliness, and support household environment, including pets, plants, and visitors.

Laundry

Assist residents with laundry needs, supporting their self-care and hygiene.
