The Personal Care Medication Aide/Caregiver is responsible for distributing medications and treatments to residents. This role also performs general household caregiver duties. The medication aide provides medical and physical care to meet residents’ daily needs and enable them to function at their highest level. As the residents' closest advocate, this role promotes psychosocial well-being through meaningful relationship building and collaborates with the household team to meet social service needs. It involves providing support, friendship, and kindness, planning and facilitating social activities for residents to encourage recreation, exercise, relationship building, and fun. Additionally, this role supports household homemakers in maintaining a clean, safe environment and caring for residents’ personal laundry.
