Job summary

EOSIS in Pine City, MN, is hiring a full-time Medication Aide for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm). Pay is $19-$22/hour with shift differential.

You’ll support patients receiving addiction treatment and behavioral health services under the Nurse Manager, administering medications and maintaining records. Qualifications include being 18+, high school or GED, medication administration training, and ideally 1 year in a chemical dependency facility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Training of medication administration.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a chemical dependency facility preferred.
• CPR and first aid certified preferred, if not - we'll get you certified!
• High School education or GED is required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to patients and maintain medical records under the supervision of a nurse.
• Verify identity of patient receiving medication and record the name of drug, and time of administration on specified forms or database.
• Present medication to patient and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication using specified procedures.
• May take vital signs or observe patient to detect response to specified types of medications and prepare report or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
• Record and restock medication inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Supervisor.
