## Description**JOB DESCRIPTION** **Medication Aide** **Position Summary** Under the direction of Director of Nursing, the Medication Aide performs tasks that involve specific supportive services for residents, pouring dispensing and charting medications, vital signs, general charting of resident’s condition and completion of a variety of forms**Responsibilities** 1. Pour, pass, and chart medications. 2. Perform accucheck. 3. Always preserve the dignity and self-respect of all residents. 4. Practice confidentiality regarding residents and their records. 5. Keep alert to residents’ conditions. Report changes in residents’ attitude, appearance, behavior, or physical abilities to supervisor. 6. Promptly answer call lights. 7. Complete appropriate paperwork such as charting and incident reports. 8. Attending all training and in-services required. 9. Ordering medications 10.
