Opp Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Medication Aide, Certified (MAC) to join our care team in Alabama. The role emphasizes precise medication administration, teamwork with nurses, and compassionate resident support.

Qualified candidates are MAC certified with a Medication Administration certificate, capable of English communication, and committed to high-quality elderly care in a long-term care setting. We offer a supportive work environment and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Must be MAC (Medication Aide, Certified)
• Must possess a valid Medication Administration certificate
• Knowledge of nursing/medical practices and long-term care regulations
• Must be 20+ years old
• Must be able to read, write, speak English
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm for elderly and disabled

Responsabilidades

• Deliver routine medications to patients as prescribed
• Coordinate with nursing staff to assist with patient care
• Follow written or verbal medication management instructions
• Record dosages and times for all medications
• Observe patient changes and document status
• Respond to emergency calls and identify patient needs

What we’re looking for and what you’ll do – Our Medication Aides are extremely detail-oriented and possess in-depth knowledge of patient care procedures. Providing excellent patient care is a vital part of this job, which is why excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed as well as the following:

• Deliver routine daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to patients.
• Coordinate with different nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
• Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.
• Record medication dosages and times.
• Observe patients and document changes in their condition.
• Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must be, as a minimum, a Medication Assistant, Certified (MAC)
• Must possess a valid and current certificate in Medication Administration for State
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• Must be a minimum of twenty (20) years of age
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
