Job description

The Medication Aide administers medication to the residents in a safe and efficient manner, EXCEPT for the administration of intramuscular, intradermal, intravenous and medications given via nasogastric or gastric tube, and performs assigned treatments. He or she will document, chart, and report relevant observations as established by the guidelines, regulations, and facility policies and procedures. He or she will also help residents with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, toileting, feeding, moving safely to activities or functions, and caring for the resident's environment, including laundry and housekeeping.
