Job summary

Univera Healthcare in Buffalo, NY seeks a seasoned leader to support Medicare strategy and execution. You will ensure compliant administration of Medicare Advantage, Part D, and related products while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities include developing strategic plans, evaluating market opportunities, and coordinating with Marketing, Finance, and IT to align cross‑functional initiatives with regulatory requirements. Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration, marketing, or related field with 6 years of health plan operations experience.
• Strong leadership and/or management experience.
• Experience with regulatory and accreditation agencies (NCQA, CMS, DOH).
• Strong process, program management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective negotiation and facilitation skills; project management experience.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and relationship-building across levels.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategic, operational, and tactical business plans for Medicare lines of business.
• Evaluate new market opportunities and build business cases.
• Assess operations to identify root causes of noncompliance and dissatisfaction.
• Collaborate with teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Plan and implement projects to support product administration and regulatory requirements.
• Promote process improvements and innovation within Medicare areas.
• Maintain relationships across the enterprise to align priorities.
• May serve as regulatory liaison to NYS, CMS or BCBSA as needed.
• Ensure cross-functional integration of strategies with Marketing, Finance, IT, and others.
• Lead forums to solicit customer feedback and deliverables.
• Interpret complex government regulations and determine next steps.
• Provide Medicare subject-matter expertise to business teams.
• Adapt quickly to regulatory changes and challenges.
• Collaborate with other departments for planning and execution.
• Stay current on evolving Medicare market dynamics and share insights with partners.
