Are you passionate about the Medicare population and seeking an opportunity in sales with the potential to directly impact your income? Do you excel at building trusting community relationships and exceeding expectations? If so, we are looking for licensed, motivated, and self-driven individuals to join our team.

In this field position, you will build community relationships, generate your own sales, and meet sales goals and metrics while working independently. Your interactions will include face-to-face, virtual, and telephonic engagements with Humana’s customers, external business partners, and the community. Face-to-face activities will involve grassroots marketing, community events, and home visits to prospects.

Our Medicare Sales Field Agents sell individual health plans and educate beneficiaries about our services in a field setting. Additional products include Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and more.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to engage in daily face-to-face interactions with prospective members in the field
  • Active Health Insurance license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Proficiency with technology, including laptops, mobile applications, and CRM tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid state driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance (100/300/100 limits), and a Motor Vehicle Report
  • Internet connection with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload; wireless, wired, or DSL
  • Approval for satellite, cellular, or microwave connections if used
  • For residents in CA, IL, MT, SD: bi-weekly internet expense reimbursement
  • Dedicated workspace free of interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA
  • Must reside within the assigned territory/county

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint
  • Community engagement through service, organizations, or volunteerism
  • Experience selling Medicare products
  • Bilingual in English and another language
  • Public speaking and presentation skills

Additional Information:

  • Language proficiency assessments may be required for non-English speakers, administered by an outside vendor.
  • Applicants may need to provide social security number during leader review, via a secure email from Humana@myworkday.com.

Schedule: Meetings with members may occur during nights and weekends; flexibility is essential.

Training: First 3-4 weeks of employment, attendance is mandatory.

Interview Process: We use HireVue for initial screening. Selected candidates will receive a text invitation for a brief video interview, approximately 5-10 minutes long. Successful candidates will be contacted with next steps.

While this is a remote role, occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $35,000 - $48,200 annually, based on location and experience. This role is eligible for a performance-based commission plan.
