Medicare Sales Field Agent- Asheville, NC

Are you passionate about serving the Medicare population and interested in a sales role with high income potential? Do you excel at building trusting community relationships and exceeding expectations? If yes, we are seeking licensed, motivated, and self-driven individuals to join our team.

In this field position, you will build community relationships, generate sales independently, and meet sales goals and metrics. You will interact face-to-face, virtually, and via telephone with Humana’s customers, external partners, and the community. Activities include grassroots marketing, community events, and home visits. Our Medicare Sales Field Agents sell individual health plans and educate beneficiaries about our services, including Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and more.

Make an Impact with Your Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to conduct daily face-to-face interactions in the field
  • Active Health Insurance and Medicare Supplement licenses or ability to obtain before starting
  • Proficiency with laptops, mobile apps, CRM tools, and sales/marketing resources
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle insurance (100/300/100 limits), and a clean Motor Vehicle Report
  • Reliable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload); wireless, wired, or DSL
  • Work from a dedicated, interruption-free space to protect member PHI/HIPAA information
  • Residence within the assigned territory/County

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Life and Variable Annuity Insurance licenses
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with TEAMS and PowerPoint
  • Community engagement experience
  • Experience selling Medicare products
  • Bilingual in English and another language
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
Additional Information
  • Language proficiency assessments may be required for non-English speakers
  • Applicants may need to provide their social security number for security checks

Schedule: Flexibility required for evening and weekend appointments.

Training: First 3-4 weeks of employment, mandatory attendance.

Work Hours & Pay:

40 hours/week. Salary: $31,800 - $43,800/year, plus potential commission based on performance and location.
