Job summary

RELI Group, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to support Risk Adjustment and Medicare Part C audits by accurately coding inpatient, outpatient, and physician office records. The ideal candidate will have strong ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM knowledge and a proven track record of high accuracy and productivity.

The role requires independent work, excellent communication, and strict adherence to confidentiality while maintaining processing efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of coding experience in acute hospital (inpatient/outpatient) and/or multi-specialty physician office records.
  • Certified coder status by a recognized credentialing body (AAPC or AHIMA) with CPC/CCS/RHIA/RHIT credentials.
  • CRC certification is a plus; experience in Risk Adjustment Data Validation or CMS-HCC audits preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret physician documentation; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis coding of inpatient, outpatient, and physician office records per Risk Adjustment and Medicare Part C guidelines.
  • Conduct intake validity checks on records for specialty type, dates of service, signatures, and attestations; log all processes per guidelines.
  • Review feedback from Senior Coders to improve accuracy and quality.
  • Enter data into encoder and related systems using a PC.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of PHI and meet productivity targets.
