Job summary

RELI Group in Windsor Mill, MD is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to support Risk Adjustment and Medicare Part C audits. You will code inpatient, outpatient, and physician office records according to ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM guidelines, while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year of coding experience, active credentials (CPC/CCS/RHIA/RHIT), and proficiency with Microsoft Office. CRC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience coding general acute hospital (inpatient/outpatient) records.
• Must be certified coder (AAPC/AHIMA). Acceptable: CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT.
• CRC certification is a plus.
• Experience with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and CMS-HCC audits preferred.
• Ability to work independently with high concentration and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient, outpatient, and physician office records per Risk Adjustment/Medicare Part C guidelines.
• Perform intake validity checks on each record to ensure proper physician specialty, dates of service, and signatures; document in system.
• Review feedback from Senior Coders to improve accuracy and quality.
• Enter data into encoder and other required software on a PC.
• Follow established processes and report issues to leads.
• Maintain confidentiality of PHI and security of records.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards (95% IRR) and attendance standards.
• Interact professionally with peers, contractors, and customers; contribute to a positive team environment.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
