Job summary

Greater Good Health in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Risk Adjustment Coding Specialist to own retrospective CDI chart reviews, strengthen coding compliance, and optimize risk capture for our Medicare-focused care model. You will collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Clinical Operations, and Performance to drive accurate coding and timely CMS submissions.

You will design coding audits, resolve documentation gaps, and translate coding guidance for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders while maintaining

Qualifications

• CRC or equivalent required.
• CDI credential preferred (CDIP, CCDS, or equivalent).
• Medicare risk adjustment experience required.
• CDI experience including query construction and provider education.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, HCC models, and Medicare documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own retrospective CDI chart review for compliant, accurate and optimized coding.
• Design and execute formal coding audits to ensure CPT and diagnosis coding are fully supported by clinical documentation.
• Identify documentation gaps and compliance concerns; support escalation and remediation efforts.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle to support claim corrections and documentation follow-up.
• Develop coding and documentation education content for Nurse Practitioners and clinical teams.
