Job summary

MetroPlusHealth, a MetroPlus subsidiary of NYC Health + Hospitals, is seeking an Enrollment Sales Representative to identify eligible Medicare participants, educate them on MetroPlus benefits, and enroll them through community outreach and presentations. The role includes coordinating with provider sites, senior centers, and community groups while maintaining accurate enrollment documentation.

The position requires a NYS Life/Health Insurance license, a high school diploma, and at least one year

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Life/Accident / Health Insurance Agent License issued by the New York State Insurance Department.
• High School diploma or evidence of having satisfactorily passed a High School Equivalency Program.
• One year of experience in direct consumer contact, sales and/or social services.
• Knowledge of a second language may be required.

Responsibilities

• Implements methods, activities and action plans necessary to achieve daily, weekly and monthly objectives.
• Presents clear and accurate information regarding health plan to eligible recipients and community-at-large.
• Performs group and individual presentations for purpose of educating and enrolling qualified participants in a variety of arenas including senior centers, provider sites, churches, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, etc.
• Provides all benefit/service related information to members, applicants, and providers.
• Performs telemarketing activities as appropriate for purposes of enrollment and follow-up activity.
• Processes all member demographic changes.
• Maintains accurate documentation related to enrollment and field activities.
• Participates in regularly scheduled sales/marketing meetings as required.
