Jewish Family and Children’s Services of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin and Sonoma Counties is seeking a Billing Systems Specialist to manage third‑party billing for clinical programs, post payments in the SmartCare system, and handle claims follow‑up, supporting Bay Area services.

Under the supervision of the Billing Systems Manager, you will review billing data, generate invoices for Medicare and other payers, and perform aging reconciliations to ensure timely collections, with an on‑site

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, or related work required.
• Medical billing experience (Medicare and insurance) in an institutional setting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• Experience with EHR system preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Collects, reviews, and enters time and billing data for client and third‑party billing.
• Enters third‑party billing information into the SmartCare system and ensures data accuracy.
• Generates and distributes claims to Medicare and third‑party payers; produces reports.
• Performs back‑ups for SmartCare operations including billing and month‑end close.
• Reviews insurance and Medicare monthly billing; assists with enrollment for Medicare billing.
• Posts payments for SmartCare into the accounting system and reconciles transactions.
• Performs follow‑up for delinquent accounts and resolves billing disputes; coordinates with Finance.
• Reconciles monthly aging reports and registers clients in SmartCare across regions.
