Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office with basic accounting knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing claims.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable workflows and HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with NextGen is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Submit and follow up Medicare claims for assigned insurers (CEC and CESC).
• Generate reports to identify claim errors prior to filing.
• Track denials and correct rejected claims in the clearinghouse.
• Send medical records and appeals as needed; coordinate with physicians and lead technicians.
• Communicate with patients to obtain information; collect payments and explain charges.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain accurate account notes.
