Ladders is seeking a Medicare Advantage Pricing Actuary for a remote US-based role. You will own the annual bid pricing process, combining actuarial rigor with regulatory awareness to support competitive and compliant plan development.

You will partner with product, clinical, and leadership teams to shape benefit design, establish pricing assumptions, and translate CMS changes into actionable modeling updates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive healthcare actuarial experience, with 5+ years in Medicare Advantage bid pricing.
• Ability to manage complex, time-sensitive projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong actuarial modeling skills and proficiency with SQL, Python, R, SAS and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the development and submission of annual Medicare Advantage bids per CMS guidelines.
• Collaborate with product and clinical teams to design competitive benefit packages.
• Establish core bid assumptions, including utilization and cost trends.
• Build scalable bid pricing models with high technical accuracy.
• Conduct scenario testing to assess CMS policy impacts and market dynamics.
• Translate CMS changes into modeling adjustments and strategic guidance.
• Prepare executive-level presentations on bid strategy and financial returns.

For our client, we are seeking a Medicare Advantage Pricing Actuary to join the team of a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space.

This remote role will own the annual Medicare Advantage bid pricing process, combining actuarial rigor, financial discipline, and regulatory awareness to support competitive and compliant plan development. The position partners closely with product, clinical, and leadership teams to shape benefit design, establish pricing assumptions, and translate CMS changes into actionable modeling updates. It also plays a key role in scenario analysis, executive communication, and the delivery of timely bids that align with financial targets and market dynamics.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $175,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the development and submission of annual Medicare Advantage bids, ensuring compliance with CMS guidelines
• Collaborate with product and clinical teams to design competitive benefit packages aligned with financial targets
• Establish and document core actuarial bid assumptions, including utilization and cost trends
• Build and maintain scalable bid pricing models with high technical accuracy
• Conduct scenario testing to assess financial impacts of CMS policy changes and market dynamics

• Prepare executive-level presentations summarizing bid strategy and financial returns

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive healthcare actuarial experience, with 5+ years focused on Medicare Advantage bid pricing
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, time-sensitive projects and meet regulatory deadlines
• Advanced proficiency in actuarial modeling and financial tools, including SQL, Python, R, SAS, and Excel
• Thorough understanding of Medicare Advantage pricing mechanics and CMS risk adjustment models
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration
