A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant to manage patient communication and assist with medical records. This role involves a blend of clinical support, administrative tasks, and billing processes, requiring strong organizational skills and relevant certifications. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in medical administration and be proficient in EHR systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Position: Medical Virtual Assistant
Number of hours: 40 hrs/week

Tasks required:
Patient Communication: Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and messages related to patient scheduling, appointment reminders, and follow-ups.
Medical Records Management: Assist in the organization, updating, and secure handling of electronic health records (EHR).
Administrative Tasks: Handle data entry, maintain appointment calendars, and coordinate patient care between different providers.
Clinical Support: Provide assistance in preparing patient charts, collecting and summarizing patient information for physicians, and ability to do proper patient assessment and triage.
Billing and Insurance: Support billing processes, insurance verification, and processing claims, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Research and Reporting: Conduct research on medical topics as needed and compile reports for healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
Extensive experience in a clinical or medical administrative role.
Certification as a Medical Assistant, Registered Nurse, or similar credential.
Knowledge in Medical Cannabis utilization
Familiarity with medical coding practices and terminology (e.g., CPT, ICD-10).
Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical software.
Familiarity with telehealth practices.
Knowledge of common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA standards.
High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
