A Kid’s Place is currently recruiting for a full-time Medical Transportation Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting the Unit Supervisor I and II in the provision of services to the children at A Kid’s Place.
The Medical Transportation Coordinator will report to the Residential Manager. This is a full-time position, hourly and non-exempt.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00a-4:30p, flexible when needed.
Pay: $18 per hour
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Transport children daily to and from different locations
- Transportation as specified for children as needed
- Scheduling of medical appointments acute and routine.
- Completion of paperwork prior to appointment, referrals, background information, accurate medical insurance.
- Implementation and research for local medical providers that are in network with children(s) insurance, providing accurate updates if needed with the Unit Supervisors.
- Provide intake and discharge support
- Scan and copy records as needed to support the Unit Supervisors
- Assist in obtaining required documents from Case Managers
- Maintaining of medical records and updates on Medicaid, dissemination of information to Unit Supervisors as needed.
- Maintain and manage client medication log forms
- Maintain the Medication Tracker spreadsheet to include
- Other duties assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to pass a Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, and local background screen upon initial hire and annually thereafter.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for acceptance by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Reliable in arriving on time and ready to perform job duties, with flexibility to work all assigned shifts and hours.
- Maintain a professional demeanor to clients, staff, and external parties.
- Must be culturally sensitive and able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel and children.
- Strong time-management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to multi-task efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with all employees while complying with EEOC rules and accepting constructive feedback from management in a professional manner.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years’ experience within social services or child welfare.
