Job summary

America West Medical Transportation, Inc. is hiring drivers to transport wheelchair and stretcher patients in specially equipped vehicles.

You will work closely with the team leader to ensure safe, reliable transport, from patients' homes to service sites and back. Requirements include a valid California driver’s license, at least 3 years of professional driving, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass drug and health screenings.

Qualifications

• Age 21 years or older.
• Valid state driver’s license (California).
• 3 years professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record (no more than 1 point).
• Able to pass drug test and health screenings (TB test/chest x-ray).
• Able to pass a physical agility test.
• Able to lift/maneuver 50 pounds.
• Fluent in English; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently run medical transportation in a company vehicle.
• Transport patients safely from home to service site and back.
• Use company transportation software.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Possess on-call responsibilities as needed.
• Communicate effectively with leadership.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
