MEDICAL TECHNOLOGISTS (Multiple Openings)

Allegheny Health Network – Allegheny Valley Hospital seeks Medical Technologists (Multiple Openings) to work at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, PA, and perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Duties include: (i) performing routine and complex procedures using established criteria to provide quality clinical information; (ii) verifying analytic accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and linearity for clinical tests; and (iii) operating, calibrating, checking, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.

Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Medical Technology or a directly related field plus two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience.

Must possess an ICHP VisaScreen certificate, if applicable. Must also have American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist. Must be able to work independently on afternoon and night shifts. Experience can be concurrent.
