Job Description

SCOPE OF POSITION: An ABHI certified technologist performing histocompatibility testing and interpreting results in the Tissue Typing Laboratory.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing all clinical testing for histocompatibility. Certification (CHT/ABHI) at the Technologist level, demonstrating appropriate experience and knowledge to interpret test results and ensure high-quality control, is required. Must be available for scheduled 24-hour on-call, approximately 20-25% of each month.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a life science, knowledge of standard immunological lab techniques, or knowledge of histocompatibility, and/or
  • 2 years of lab experience required.
  • Experience in PCR-molecular technology is helpful.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills and ability to multi-task are essential.
  • CHT (ABHI) certification required.
