Qualifications

• Licensed by the State of Florida (or eligible) in appropriate specialties.
• National certification preferred.
• Completion of training program in medical technology.

Responsibilities

• Communicates at shift change and follows through on pending orders or problems from previous shift.
• Performs and documents Quality Control.
• Maintains a minimum inventory of reagents and supplies for patient care and next shift.
• Call and document critical values or alert levels per department policy.
• Teaches and trains staff as assigned; performs charge tech duties in the manager's absence.
