Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing laboratory procedures and evaluations to assist physicians in diagnosis and provide quality patient care. The technologist will support our mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives, demonstrating a commitment to quality service for patients, physicians, and co-workers. Responsibilities include routine and complex testing, troubleshooting, and acting professionally in the best interest of patient care.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (no weekends)

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Identify patients and samples accurately
  2. Maintain specimen integrity
  3. Report results efficiently and accurately
  4. Manage supplies and inventory
  5. Communicate workload status
  6. Maintain organized work environment
  7. Use Laboratory Information System effectively
  8. Prepare reagents and controls
  9. Perform proficiency testing
  10. Maintain analytical equipment
  11. Follow laboratory guidelines for test system limits
  12. Communicate critical results promptly
  13. Participate in training and education
  14. Assist in development and evaluation of techniques
  15. Act as a technical supervisor in absence (if applicable)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree and Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP)
  • MT (ASCP), MLS(ASCP) certification
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory testing
  • Skill in performing a full range of laboratory tests
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ years of laboratory experience
Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges from $23.70 to $46.35, based on experience, education, and certifications.
