Job summary

Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, CT is hiring a Medical Technologist to join the Rapid Response Lab Team. You will perform a wide range of analyses across multiple lab sections, impacting patient diagnosis and care in a high-energy environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology and MT-ASCP or equivalent certification; new grads welcome. Evening shift, 40 hours per week, with some weekend and holiday rotation. U.S. work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college/university.
• MT-ASCP or equivalent level certification or eligibility within first year of employment.
• New grads welcome; experience preferred.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and we cannot sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Determine normal and abnormal components of body fluids through chemical analyses.
• Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells using microscopy.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of analyzers and lab equipment; calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology

MT-ASCP or equivalent certification
