Job summary

Valley View Medical Center, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Medical Technologist to join our on-site laboratory team in Fort Mohave, AZ. You will perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, follow procedures, and analyze results to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment planning.

The role emphasizes quality assurance, participation in performance improvement, and ongoing professional development to support exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in science is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in science preferred.
• Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education).

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
• Follow standardized procedures and prepare patient samples for testing.
• Collect and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities, including blood samples for transfusions.
• Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits; report and document findings according to organizational standards.
• Perform automated testing using computerized instruments and equipment.
• Conduct quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment and results.
• Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

How you’ll contribute

A Medical Technologistwho excels in this role:
