RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Medical Technologist for Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. The role focuses on accurate, timely lab testing across multiple disciplines to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality results, adhere to CLIA and CAP standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in the laboratory operations. A bachelor's degree and hospital lab experience are required or preferred, with opportunities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• 1 year experience working in a hospital setting laboratory preferred.
• ASCP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex, and specialized laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, blood bank, coagulation and urinalysis.
• Analyze, verify and report test results with adherence to policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment.
• Perform quality control, quality assurance and proficiency testing per regulatory standards.
• Communicate critical values promptly to physicians and clinicians.
